Jozie Ewart

Jozie Ewart-Weisman, BA, RYT-200 has been practicing yoga for over ten years. At the age of 15 she was introduced to Kripalu Yoga by attending a workshop at the Kripalu Yoga Center that was heart opening and powerful. Jozie returned to the Kripalu Yoga Center in 2009 to complete her 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training. Sharing the light of yoga has become Jozie’s mission, and she has been working towards it ever since.

Jozie is also an Elementary Educator licensed in the state of Massachusetts. She has training in Color Me Yoga and YogaEd, two programs that help to bring yoga to children. In 2010 Jozie received the Rachel Greene Memorial Grant to bring yoga to students in disadvantaged schools. She is currently working with the students of The Kathleen Burns Preparatory School, a YOU Inc. program to develop yogic techniques for coping with challenging emotions. Jozie also teaches private lessons to students with other special needs, and has growing interest in offering yoga to this population of students.

Recently Jozie completed both Journey Dance Teacher Training and Yoga Warriors Teacher Training. Journey Dance is a passion for Jozie. As a former dancer trained in Classical Ballet, Modern, and Jazz, Jozie has found a new way to move through space that is full of awareness and compassion. Jozie leads Journey Dance classes several times per month, and is currently the only Journey Dance teacher in the Central Mass / Worcester area. Yoga Warriors is a therapeutic yoga system especially designed for those suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. Yoga Warriors classes seek to heal the wounds of war one breath at a time. Jozie’s gentle and compassionate leading helps to ease students into relaxation and healing.

Jozie is passionate about her work as a Yoga Teacher. Her mission and all of her teachings come from the heart. In any class with Jozie the student can expect to find a fun, positive approach, and an experience filled with light and grace.
